Sacred Heart Catholic Church Donation

Pullman Schools Food Pantry Program received a generous donation today from a local organization. The knights of Columbus from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church are composed of men who believe in giving their “time and talents in service of God and their country”. We are very thankful for the knights of Columbus in donating $1,120 to provide food for our local children in need. Thank you to the Palouse area for caring about our children and creating a loving community.

We are excited to announce that the Pullman Schools Pantry Program raised funds through the Kiwanis Football Parking fundraiser! Through this fundraiser, $400 was raised for the Pullman Schools Pantry Program. Students from Trinity High School and Middle School were excited to begin shopping for non-perishable food to feed our community children in need. We can’t thank Trinity Lutheran Youth Group enough for raising funds and keeping our community children healthy and happy.

This event is hosted by Palouse – Clearwater Food Coalition and takes place on Friday January 25 at 8:30am to 4pm. The tickets to attend the event are free and it is a great way to learn about resilience and regeneration of food in our local food sheds. The author of Our Table of Memories will be attending the event and telling stories about our past and future with food in the Palouse – Clearwater region. The event is children friendly and has a Children’s Activity Room with fun activities!

Deep gratitude for those who have already donated We are off to a great start! Would you mind sharing this fundraiser so more folks know about our program? We have 257 kids that participate in our program. Let’s help feed them nutritious food to grow healthy bodies and minds.

How it works

Want to join me in supporting our kids in need of food on the weekends? I’m raising money for the Pullman Schools Pantry Program (under PCW) and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Kids can’t learn if they are hungry. Thank you for your support. I’ve included information about Pullman Schools Pantry Program below.

Our mission is to feed and promote the value of nutrition in food insecure children, so they can be successful learners.
